Popular light show gets back on track year after vandalism

PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Workers are preparing to open the Christmas Lite Show at LMCU Ballpark after an act of vandalism delayed last year’s event.

Crews began preparing for the show over the summer. They said they are grateful for the support they received after a still-unknown person cut the wiring to some of the displays last year delaying last year’s debut.

“It normally takes us a little bit over two months, and there’s about 20 people total that work between days and nights and weekends, setting the displays up, wearing them, testing them, repairing them,” said Dale Vanderzee, a technician who works on the setup team.
