Orthopedics Associates breaking ground today on outpatient surgery center

WYOMING, Mich. — Orthopedic Associates of Michigan will break ground on a new outpatient surgery center Thursday afternoon in Wyoming.

Due to the cold weather, the ceremony will take place indoors at the University of Michigan’s Health-West Village campus. UM-Health said in a news release the surgery center will expand access to orthopedic care and modern outpatient surgical services for patients across West Michigan. It will include eight operating rooms, two procedure rooms, urgent care, clinic space and occupational therapy with 23-hour stay capability. The project is being done in partnership with the hospital and U-M Health.
