The Grand Valley University community and West Michigan leaders are recognizing the legacy of David P. Mehney, who died on November 21, 2025, at age 86. Mehney was a member of the Grand Valley University Foundation and contributed to student programs, athletics, and campus development. With his late wife, Linda, he supported the Grand Design 2000 campaign, which funded the Richard M. DeVos Center. He also contributed to the Daniel and Pamella DeVos Center for Interprofessional Health.
