GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Democratic lawmakers gathered in Grand Rapids Friday to voice concern over the impact of Michigan House Appropriations Committee’s vote to pull back nearly $645 million in unspent funding previously promised to state projects and organization.
State Rep. Carol Glanville, D-Walker, is a part of that committee. She said the vote is a “cruel and unprecedented measure.”
“In just minutes, multiyear commitments that our communities had already planned for had the rug pulled out from under them,” Glanville said. “These were not theoretical dollars… These dollars are already in motion.”…
