The Pfeiffer family is breathing new life into a Byron Township hotel and restaurant with the opening of Latin fusion restaurant Somos inside the newly rebranded Best Western.
The restaurant, which is located on the ground floor at 8282 Pfeiffer Farms Drive SW near the 84th Street and U.S. 131 interchange, opened recently and can seat 190 people for lunch and dinner service.
The restaurant replaces 84th Street Pub & Grille, which operated in the hotel from 2010 to 2023. The closure followed the 2021 death of owner Dan Pfeiffer, a Grand Rapids-area auto dealer and philanthropist, and the decision to remodel the hotel, which was formerly a Baymont Inn…
