OLIVE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman is in the hospital after her car was hit by a tanker truck on US-31 in Olive Township Saturday morning.
Just before 9 a.m., a tanker truck loaded with liquid nitrogen traveling northbound on US-31 slid through a red light at the intersection of US-31 and Port Sheldon, Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies said in a release. The tanker then collided with the side of an SUV traveling westbound on Port Sheldon Street.
The SUV’s driver, a 29-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The two SUV passengers, an 8-year-old and a 5-year-old, were not injured. The tanker truck driver, 39, was also uninjured, deputies said…
