Judge dismisses 1 of 2 charges for man accused of causing homeowner’s fatal fall

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A judge has dismissed one of two charges against a Grand Rapids man accused of causing a woman’s fatal fall in her home’s kitchen.

Justin Leys, 43, was ordered to stand trial Monday, Dec. 15 on a charge of involuntary manslaughter, but a judge dismissed a more serious manslaughter charge.
