Ex-CEO admits $1.4M scheme that closed childhood learning agency

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Nkechy Ezeh, founder and CEO of a now-closed nonprofit agency that helped vulnerable preschool children, has agreed to plead guilty to wire fraud and tax evasion, court records show.

The stolen funds covered Ezeh’s personal travel, including trips to Hawaii, Liberia and Nigeria, according to a plea agreement she signed.

Ezeh reached the agreement rather than have the case go before a federal grand jury for potential indictment…
