As state cuts funding, Rockford library gets $1M in federal funds for expansion

ROCKFORD, MI – Just weeks after it was included on a list of projects that had state funding cut, the city of Rockford’s Krause Memorial Library has received $1 million from the federal government to assist with its $11.7 million expansion project.

City Manager Thad Beard said the funding announcement was a “welcome surprise.”
