Grand Rapids malls invest in new attractions to overcome ongoing traffic challenges

Two Grand Rapids-area indoor malls struggled to keep pace with national traffic trends in 2025 and lost long-standing tenants despite efforts to reinvest and diversify offerings.

Woodland Mall, located at 3195 28th St. SE in Kentwood, and Rivertown Crossings at 3700 Rivertown Parkway in Grandville, have each continued to invest in new tenants and upgrades.
