New housing development to extend Breton Road in Kentwood

KENTWOOD, MI – A busy roadway in Kentwood is going to be extended further south as part of a planned housing development that will build 216 new homes on 71 acres of vacant land.

Breton Road, which runs north-to-south and borders the cities of Grand Rapids and Kentwood, currently ends at 52nd Street in Kentwood. The roadway will be extended about a mile south to 60th Street during the first phase of the housing project, with construction expected to start in 2026.
