West Michigan’s busiest urban corridor is the stretch of U.S. 131 between 28th Street in Wyoming and Cherry Street in Grand Rapids.
The highway and its interchanges carry more than 120,000 vehicles daily and account for more than 700 crashes per year — the highest rate in the area.
A new planning and environmental linkages study of the corridor was completed this month.
