West Michigan rings in 2026 with parties, ball drops

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — As the last few moments of 2025 slipped by, West Michigan celebrated the beginning of a new year.

At Rapid River Stillhouse off of Bridge Street in Grand Rapids, it was a black tie masquerade — although you didn’t have to dress up. For a $10 cover, patrons received a champagne toast at midnight and enjoyed a DJ from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. New York City’s ball drop was shown on a 21-foot television. There was also a winter cocktail menu.
