Why The Cherie Inn Is A Beloved Grand Rapids Landmark

Being able to go out to a nice restaurant for a wonderful meal is a real treat for all of us.

It’s not only the food, but the service, ambiance, and the friendliness of the staff that makes it a truly wonderful experience.

That is what the oldest restaurant in Grand Rapids has been doing for 102-years. It has been serving food continuously since 1924. And, even though I haven’t been a regular for all those years, some may argue that point, it is one of our favorite places to be.

The Cherie Inn, 969 Cherry St. SE, is this gem of a restaurant in Grand Rapids, and, yes, it is 102-years old.

Restaurants come and go. We have seen so many close this past year with just as many new ones opening hoping to survive this tough dining environment we have today…
