GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A man convicted stabbing and killing another man in Grand Rapids continued to claim self-defense Wednesday, even as a judge sentenced him to decades in prison.
Greggory Harris, 58, who convicted last year of second-degree murder in the death of Larone Crenshaw two years prior, was sentenced to 30 to 45 years behind bars.
The stabbing happened Oct. 1, 2023, in the area of South Division Avenue and Sutton Street SW. Crenshaw, 53, was found on the sidewalk with stab wounds and died at the hospital. Authorities say the stabbing stemmed from a dispute over a bicycle.
