The Craft Outlet in Grand Rapids closing after 25 years

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A craft outlet store in Grand Rapids is closing after more than two decades.

The Craft Outlet, a store that sells items for cheap from Notions Marketing, is closing as its lease comes to an end, store manager Terrie Pastoor told News 8. Its last day open will be Saturday.

At this point, most of the items left are the store’s fixtures, Pastoor said, but she invited customers to stop by to say goodbye.

“It is so sad. It’s sad for me too, very heartbreaking,” she said. “A lot of people that shop here are just looking for cheap crafts so they can learn something new at a reasonable price. They meet a lot of people here. It’s more like friends than customers. Just really upset that (the shop is) not going to open somewhere else.”…
