Report: 40% of Kent County children are overweight or obese, exceeding Michigan’s average

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Kent County has released its first-ever Childhood Obesity Surveillance Report.

In the report, the findings show that four out of every 10 Kent County children ages 4 to 17 were identified as overweight or obese. Two out of every 10 children were classified as obese.
