‘Deeply upset’: Grand Rapids vigil held in honor of woman killed by ICE

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — On the south side of Grand Rapids, a local grocery store looked different from a normal Friday night.

Dozens of protesters gathered outside of Supermercado Bedolla frustration, anger and sadness for a candlelight vigil to mourn the loss of Renee Good, who was shot and killed by a United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent earlier this week.

The location outside the Mexican supermarket, held extra weight for the vigil, said Ady Bedolla the store’s manager.

“This whole community is like low-immigrant, low-income, immigrant communities, one way or another,” she said.
