The Grand Valley State University Surplus Store is undergoing a temporary operational shift, effective today. The store will be closing its in-store shopping experience and migrating to an online-only ordering system with in-person pickup until further notice.
According to store management, the Surplus Store will no longer offer in-person browsing for the time being. Instead, customers can place orders through the store’s website and schedule pickups once purchases are confirmed. The change reflects an adjustment in how the store manages its operations while continuing to serve the campus and the surrounding community.
The store, overseen by the University’s Procurement Services, plays a key role in sustainability efforts across campus. The store sells leftover items that were previously used by University departments, but can still be reused by students, faculty, staff and the general public.
