GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The former CEO of the Early Learning Neighborhood Collaborative (ELNC) pleaded guilty to embezzling over $1 million on Wednesday.
Dr. Nkechy Ekere Ezeh, former ELNC CEO, appeared in court to file the plea. She had agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and tax evasion back in December.
As part of Ezeh’s plea agreement, she will also pay $1.4 million in restitution, pay nearly $400,000 in back taxes and face possible prison time for the two charges…
