3-day snowfall totals: Where all the snow is stacking up

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – In some areas along the Lakeshore, it feels like it’s been snowing non-stop for the last few days. The National Weather Service today released a three-day snow tally that shows some areas have clocked in with more than a foot of snow. The highest amount? Nearly 14 inches in a Grand Rapids suburb.

“Here is a snowfall map showing the observed snowfall totals from the winter storm from the last few days,“ NWS meteorologists in Grand Rapids said.

“Highest report we’ve received from this event was 13.9 inches west of Walker. Due to high winds and significant drifting, snowfall amounts will be highly variable and were difficult to determine for this event. Heaviest snowfall totals were along and west of the U.S. 131 corridor.”

While the area near Walker, just outside of Grand Rapids, gets the snow total crown for West Michigan, other areas also had impressive numbers…
