Kent County road rage incident leads to shooting, person of interest in custody

ALGOMA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Detectives with the Kent County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting they say occurred during a road rage incident in Algoma Township Friday afternoon.

It happened near Quarter Horse Drive NE and Algoma Avenue NE around 1:50 p.m., deputies said.

One person was grazed by what detectives believe was a bullet fired at their vehicle, but did not go to the hospital.
