Local parents optimistic about school cellphone ban bill

ADA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A bill that would ban students from using cellphones in schools during instructional time has passed the Michigan Senate.

The bill passed the senate on Thursday, with just one senator voting no.

And so I think it’s really going to help with that. I also have talked to so many teachers who’ve just seen kids that are distracted and disengaged.”
