GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A Byron Center man must pay $868,000 in back taxes after not reporting income from selling scrap metal for more than a decade, federal prosecutor said.
James Phillip Scholten, 51, is to be sentenced in May 12 in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids for tax evasion.
