GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Tuesday’s overnight and morning snowfall made a double-trip for many plow drivers around West Michigan, as they returned to assigned routes to re-clear their overnight efforts.
It was the latest in a series of snow events that are pushing plow operators to the limit.
“By 4 a.m., they’re probably halfway through routes but they’ve already seen another four inches dump on top of everything they have already done,” said Matt Baumbach, partner at Pro-Mow Lawn Care and Landscape. “It wears on them, and there is no end in sight. It is tough. Tough. It’s every single night. They’ve had four days off in January so far.”…
