SAGINAW TWP, MI — Paul Walter Hauser, a Grand Rapids native raised in Saginaw Township, said he launched a fundraiser to support cancer treatment sought by James Van Der Beek.
Van Der Beek, who has colorectal cancer, recently announced plans to sell memorabilia to help pay for his medical treatments.
“And it didn’t sit well with me,” Hauser wrote in an Instagram post. “I am an actor and father of 3 children, and I want them inheriting my trinkets/wardrobe/memorabilia someday. I wouldn’t want to auction off a Stingray shirt or Marvel script to make ends meet for treatment.”…
