How much snow did West Michigan see overnight Monday – Tuesday?

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Parts of West Michigan saw significantly more snowfall than anticipated Monday night into Tuesday morning, with some areas receiving between 6-8 inches of snow.

The highest totals were concentrated in Kent, Ottawa and Allegan counties, creating what may have been the worst commute of the winter so far.

Snowfall totals:

  • East Grand Rapids: 8.1 inches
  • Grandville: 7.5 inches
  • Walker: 7.3 inches
  • Comstock Park: 7.2 inches
  • Grand Valley: 6.8 inches
  • Zeeland: 5 inches

Note: Not all snowfall totals have been reported by the National Weather Service.
