GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Parts of West Michigan saw significantly more snowfall than anticipated Monday night into Tuesday morning, with some areas receiving between 6-8 inches of snow.
The highest totals were concentrated in Kent, Ottawa and Allegan counties, creating what may have been the worst commute of the winter so far.
Snowfall totals:
- East Grand Rapids: 8.1 inches
- Grandville: 7.5 inches
- Walker: 7.3 inches
- Comstock Park: 7.2 inches
- Grand Valley: 6.8 inches
- Zeeland: 5 inches
