Detroit-based Honigman LLP again ranked as Michigan’s largest law firm in a year that mostly tracked with the status quo, save for one notable exception.
Honigman had 291 attorneys practicing in Michigan, on par with last year, while the prominent business law firm’s roster of attorneys across the country grew 10% to 387, according to Crain’s list of the largest law firms in 2025.
That’s only a fraction of Taft Stettinius & Hollister’s global attorney headcount of 1,085, making it by far the largest on the list by total number of lawyers. However, the Cincinnati-based firm had just 137 attorneys based in Southfield, good for ninth on the list…
