LOWELL TOWNSHIP, MI – A driver was hospitalized with serious injuries after a dump truck was struck by a train in Kent County.
The crash happened around 11:10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9, on the railroad tracks on Snow Avenue, just south of 52nd Street in Lowell Township, said Sgt. Scott Dietrich of the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of the dump truck was ejected from the vehicle in the crash, Dietrich said. The man was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and he is now in stable condition…
