$4M downtown Grand Rapids private club targets 2026 opening after city OK

Developers of the Commerce Club are set to begin interior renovations for the $4 million transformation of a historic downtown Grand Rapids building into a luxury members-only social club.

The Grand Rapids Planning Commission on Thursday unanimously approved a special land use allowing the project to move forward. The first phase is set to open in 2026.
