WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Fat Tuesday, also known as Paczki Day, is just two days away and bakeries across West Michigan are preparing for the rush that comes with it. If you walk into Marge’s Donut Den on Fat Tuesday, don’t expect to see your usual dozen. The shop will be filled with paczki honoring a Polish fat Tuesday tradition it has celebrated for decades.
Marge Wilson, the president and CEO of the five-decade-old shop, said Paczki Day is one of its busiest days of the year, with production reaching seven times its normal busiest day.
