Crash shuts down lane of I-96 in Ottawa County

OTTAWA COUNTY, Michigan — Two people are injured in a crash that closed a lane of I-96 Tuesday morning, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says.

A 38-year-old man from Muskegon was heading east on I-96, near 32nd Avenue in Wright Township, approaching slowing vehicles. Deputies say he couldn’t stop his pickup truck in time and rear-ended another driver, a 37-year-old man from Ludington.

The crash sent the Ludington man to an area hospital, while first responders treated the Muskegon man on the scene. Police say both of their injuries were non-life-threatening…
