KENT COUNTY, Mich. — The first person to be charged with and convicted under Michigan’s new hate crime statute in Kent County will not serve any additional jail time.
Travis Michael Bonn was convicted of assaulting a woman and calling her a racial slur in Wyoming last summer. It was all caught on the woman’s phone.
