Michigan roads glisten with a thin sheen of moisture as light freezing rain brushes parts of the Grand Rapids area this morning. Elevated surfaces, especially bridges and overpasses on US-131 and I-196, could turn slick where temperatures hover near freezing. Patchy fog is reducing visibility in spots, adding another layer of caution for drivers.

According to the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids, freezing rain is possible early before temperatures rise above 32 degrees. Any icy spots should improve by midmorning as readings climb.
