Father and son run from Grand Haven to Grand Rapids for Folds of Honor

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) β€” A father-and-sun duo ran from Grand Haven to Grand Rapids Friday for the third year in a row, all while raising money for a good cause.

Matt and Matthew Garbarino ran 30 miles across West Michigan for the Folds of Honor, an organization that provides support for the families of veterans or first responders who have been killed or disabled in the line of duty.

The two started their run in Grand Haven around 8 a.m. Friday and were escorted by police all the way to Grand Rapids. Their run ended seven and a half hours later when they arrived at the J.W. Marriot downtown around 3:30 p.m.
