GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan — Meijer is recalling more than 211,000 children’s sleepwear garments after federal regulators determined the products fail to meet mandatory flammability standards, posing a potential burn hazard to young children.
The recall involves about 211,520 one-piece, footed pajamas sold under the MCS and Lullaby Lane brands in sizes 12 months, 18 months and 24 months. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the garments do not comply with federal safety requirements for children’s sleepwear, increasing the risk of burn injuries.
The affected items were sold in 10 different styles and a wide range of colors and patterns, including seasonal and holiday-themed prints. The brand name, size and “Made in Thailand” appear printed on the neck label, while the style number is located on a sewn-in side-seam label…
