A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Sunday at 4:55 a.m. EST for snow until 9 a.m. EST for Ottawa, Kent, Ionia, Barry and Kalamazoo counties.
“Light to moderate snow with temperatures in the upper 20s has combined to create slippery conditions on area roadways. A coating of a half inch to inch of snow through the morning hours will lead to reduced travel speeds. Extra caution is advised if traveling this morning, and be alert to wet looking pavement that may actually be ice covered,” explains the weather service.
