Two new West Michigan locations now listed as PFAS contamination sites

The former Fennville City Dump on 54th Street in Allegan County north of M-89 was used as a 22-acre landfill from the 1950’s through the early 1980’s.

In 2023, the Environmental Protection Agency tested four temporary monitoring wells, one of which showed PFAS levels above safe drinking water criteria.

Groundwater flows towards Mann Creek, northwest toward the Kalamazoo River watershed…
