KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A Grand Rapids woman is spending the next two-to-four decades in prison for a 2023 Black Friday crash that killed a Portage woman and left a man critically injured.
Monday, Nyra Whitelow was sentenced to 20-40 years with 29 days credit for second-degree murder, and 2-5 years with 29 days credit for reckless driving causing serious impairment, News Channel 3 confirmed with Kalamazoo County’s 9th Circuit Court.

This comes nearly three years after Audrey Hensley, 22, was killed and her boyfriend was critically injured in a crash on Nov. 24, 2023.
According to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, Whitelow was traveling more than twice the speed limit on Stadium Drive near Rambling Road when three cars collided, sending multiple people to the hospital…
