In a statement to CBS Detroit, Michigan State Police said troopers from the Sixth District Grand Rapids Post were dispatched to the area and located the remains. “The remains are significantly decomposed, and positive identification has not yet been made,” the department said. The agency added that the investigation is active and officials have not provided further details.
