GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids’ income tax office is adding weekend and evening hours as the filing deadline approaches.
April 30 is the deadline to file 2025 city income tax returns. All Grand Rapids residents must file, regardless of where you work. If you work within the city of Grand Rapids but don’t live there, you must file a nonresident tax return.
The city’s income tax department can help both residents and nonresidents file. Typically, the office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. As the filing deadline approaches, the office will stay open until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, starting March 4 and continuing through April 29. It will also open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following Saturdays:

- April 11
- April 18
- April 25
