RWE has scheduled three public hearings for large-scale renewable energy development Silver Maple Solar as the global energy company weighs seeking state approval under Public Act 233 instead of through Zeeland Township and Jamestown Township.
Silver Maple Solar is planned on roughly 1,100 acres of farmland south of I-196 near Ottawa Executive Airport. The hearings are set for 6 p.m. March 17 at Evergreen Ministries in Hudsonville and March 18-19 at Zeeland Township Hall.
