Jose Babushka’s, the Mexican-Polish fusion restaurant that Rob Kowalewski resurrected in East Grand Rapids 11 years ago, has closed for two weeks to refresh its look and menu at the Gaslight Village spot.
The restaurant, located at 2232 Wealthy St. SE, closed Feb. 22 and aims to reopen in mid-March. During that period, owners Rob and Julie Kowalewski are giving the 1,850-square-foot restaurant a remodel with new flooring, furniture and tiling to give the space a new look.
