Storms cause power outages in West Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — As storms moved through West Michigan Tuesday night, some areas are without power.

Storms bring lightning, hail to West Michigan

According to the Consumers Energy power outage map, the following counties have at least 100 customers without power as of 12 a.m. Wednesday:

  • Kent County: 2,045 customers without power
  • Muskegon County: 1,441 customers without power
  • Ottawa County: 1,141 customers without power

Remain alert for power crews on the road, stay at least 25 away from downed power lines and report any unguarded down lines by calling 911 and Consumers Energy at 800.477.5050.
