Kentwood hotel heads to auction at steep discount as owner divests Michigan holdings

A midscale Kentwood hotel that sold for $3.5 million a decade ago is heading to auction next month with a starting bid of $1.35 million as its owner exits the Michigan hotel business.

The Comfort Inn by Choice Hotels, at 4155 28th St. SE in Kentwood, will hit the auction block on April 14. The auction, hosted by Apex Commercial Exchange, will run through April 16.
