GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Friday night’s Grand Rapids Griffins game at Van Andel Arena was postponed.
In a statement, the team cited “unsafe ice conditions” at the arena. The Griffins, who were set to take on the Milwaukee Admirals, said the game would be rescheduled at a later date.
“Earlier today, unexpected ice maintenance was required due to issues with the ice plant,” Van Andel Arena said in a statement to News 8. “While the issues were quickly resolved and all systems are fully operational, the team decided the ice was not in ideal condition for play tonight.”…
