GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Richard Griffin, a Grand Rapids community advocate who was behind bars as a juvenile, is running to become a Grand Rapids Third Ward commissioner.
“Recently just the conversations I had with everyday neighbors and business partners of mine,” Griffin said. “We need a different style of leadership. We need a different leadership.”
One of two third ward seats will be up for grabs. Commissioner Kelsey Perdue’s term ends at the end of the year. She told News 8 on Saturday she plans to run for re-election. Griffin wants to give voters another option and shared some of his priorities…
