Da’quain Johnson had loaded handgun with round in the chamber when GRPD Officer fatally shot him, police report says

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The weapon recovered from a man shot and killed by a Grand Rapids Police Officer last month was loaded with a round in the chamber.

That’s according to the Michigan State Police’s original incident report obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request. The documents detail evidence, interviews, observations and more surrounding the still unnamed GRPD Officer’s shooting of Da’quain Johnson on Feb. 18 at the Eastern Lofts Apartment complex parking lot.
