KENT COUNTY, Mich. — The Kent County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) was called out to the Maplewood Mobile Home park around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, after the bodies of a teenage girl and a woman were found in a parked Honda SUV near one of the playgrounds.
First responders smelled exhaust when they arrived, determining the mother and daughter likely died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
