GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Hundreds of people celebrated Easter a little early on Sunday thanks to a local nonprofit that opened its doors to anyone in need of a warm meal.
Guiding Light Hosted its annual community Easter meal for the Heartside Neighborhood. Lines formed outside before the doors even opened, a clear sign of the growing need in the community.
“Those lines are full of people that are hurting and to just be able to do a little something today makes you feel good,” said Executive Director, Brian Elve.
